Children in Need

Good evening Beyond The Title fans,

Firstly, Happy Children in Need Day! I absolutely LOVE Children in Need… It’s one of the highlights of my T.V calendar. I can always remember watching as a kid and thinking, “How can Wogan be on live TV for so many hours?!” and I feel this is testament to the powerhouse of entertainment he truly was and it seems ironic to hear just how many presenters are involved in this years show. It reinforces not only his generosity as a man, but his genius as a professional broadcaster. I’m sure tonight’s BBC extravaganza will have an added emotional element in light of the passing of the legend himself in January of this year. With that being said however, Tess Daly and co will no doubt do him and the nation proud. Make sure you give what you can, you can do so online here;

Here’s me and the legend himself back in ’07

Anyway, back to me! Since we last spoke I have been out meeting a plethora of figures from the world of entertainment. Every fortnight, you’ll see an array of interesting people, each with their own story to tell. I could list them in a special “interview menu” but it would spoil the surprise. All I will divulge is that there are some real gems coming up – so stay tuned!

In other news, I’ve heard back from a potential publisher regarding my autobiography, Adapted. I got some great feedback and they, on the whole, felt it was a little tame and lacked emotion which I actually tend to agree with. It is only revisiting it with a new pair of eyes that I can now see the areas which require improvement. It also gives me free reign over what I want to write. Yet the problem for me is to shake off my over-analytical, academic mindset and write from the heart about how stuff actually makes me feel. If you can get this right, people say that it can feel like a form of therapy but I guess I’m yet to perfect such a technique. I’m hoping this draft will be the last!

That’s all for now, thanks again for your support and don’t forget to ‘like’ the Beyond The Title Facebook page to receive information about what I’m up to. If you haven’t done so already, why not browse the website to see if there’s anything that takes your fancy.

Ta for now,
